A compact Anker power station built for campsite charging and outage backup has slipped under $250 at Amazon.

Mashable reports that the Anker Solix C300 is selling for $249.98 as of July 16. The deal cuts the price from $298.99, according to Mashable’s listing, for a 16% discount and a $49.01 saving.

The Solix C300 is pitched as a portable power option for keeping everyday gear running away from the wall. Mashable says the unit can charge devices including laptops, phones, cameras and drones, making it a handy bit of kit for camping trips and outdoor travel.

What the Anker Solix C300 offers

According to Mashable, the power station delivers 300W of continuous output and can handle a 600W surge. Its battery capacity is listed at 288Wh.

The unit includes eight ports in total, giving users several ways to plug in at once. Mashable lists the setup as three AC outlets, a car socket, two 140W USB-C ports, one additional USB-C port and one USB-A port.

  • Sale price: $249.98 at Amazon, according to Mashable
  • List price: $298.99
  • Discount: 16%, or $49.01 off
  • Battery capacity: 288Wh
  • Output: 300W continuous power, with a 600W surge
  • Total ports: Eight

For people packing phones, cameras and other travel tech, that mix of outlets and USB ports means the Solix C300 can cover several common charging jobs without requiring a full-size home backup system.

Charging and battery life

Mashable reports that the Solix C300 can be recharged through a wall outlet, a car charger, USB-C PD 3.1 or compatible solar panels. The solar panels are sold separately, according to the report.

The battery uses LiFePO4 cells, which Mashable says are rated for up to 3,000 charge cycles. The report says that works out to about 10 years of use.

The deal is available through Amazon as of July 16, according to Mashable. The offer puts the Anker Solix C300 below the $250 mark for shoppers looking for a smaller portable power station for travel, camping or backup charging during unexpected outages.
