Bear makes off with golf bag at British Columbia course
A Reddit video shows a bear dragging clubs from a cart at Golden Eagle Golf Club while another bear waits nearby.

A bear at Golden Eagle Golf Club in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, gave one golfer a headache by yanking a bag of clubs from a cart and carrying it off, according to UPI.
The encounter was recorded on video and posted to Reddit by user MedicalFun7. UPI reported that the footage shows the bear taking the golf bag from the cart before dragging it away from the course.
The animal had company. The video shows the bear heading toward a second bear that was waiting nearby, according to the report.
The golfers could be heard reacting as the bag disappeared. One person says, “Those are my clubs, man,” while another voice tells the bear, “Put them back.”
The clip was shared in Reddit’s golf community with the title “never get between a bear and his clubs.” UPI did not report why the bear targeted the bag.
Whether the golfer got the equipment back remained unknown. CTV News Vancouver reported that it was unclear if the clubs were recovered.
The runaway golf bag was not the course’s only recent bear moment. UPI reported that bears had been spotted at Golden Eagle Golf Club multiple times in recent days.
The course also shared video on Instagram in June showing three bears on the grounds, according to UPI. That post put more bear activity at the Pitt Meadows course on display before the golf-club grab made the rounds online.
Golden Eagle Golf Club is located in Pitt Meadows, east of Vancouver. The video placed the unusual encounter on the course, with the cart parked as the bear pulled the bag free and headed off.
UPI published its report on July 13. The report did not identify the golfer whose clubs were taken.
