Daisy Sound’s first headphones have disappeared from shelves just weeks after launch, according to Mashable, with the initial Daisy One production run sold out across the U.S., UK and Europe.

The California-based audio brand is selling the over-ear Daisy One for $399, putting the newcomer in the same premium price bracket as flagship headphones from Sony and Bose, according to Mashable. Daisy says another production run is already in progress, and shoppers can sign up for restock notifications.

The attention is not only about the sellout. Mashable reports that Daisy is pitching the headphones around focus and calm as much as standard premium audio features.

What Daisy is selling

The Daisy One includes adaptive noise cancellation, custom sound tuning and a feature called Still Mode, according to Mashable. Still Mode is built into the headphones and can be triggered with a button, giving users access to calming audio without opening an app or keeping a phone connected.

Mashable reports that Still Mode includes soundscapes recorded in California, with rain, ocean and forest sounds among the options. The mode also includes brown noise and guided breathing tracks.

Daisy’s pitch, as described by Mashable, is a pair of headphones for listening, concentrating and taking breaks, rather than a product focused only on blocking outside noise.

The specs

The Daisy One uses 35mm dynamic drivers, according to Mashable, rather than the 40mm drivers often found in many premium wireless headphones. Mashable says the drivers are tuned for balanced audio and controlled bass.

Users can adjust the sound through Daisy EQ, while a Dynamic Bass feature is designed to keep low frequencies full without muddying the music, according to Mashable.

The headphones also include wireless connectivity, transparency mode, multi-device pairing and Bluetooth calling. For wired listening, Mashable reports that Daisy One supports both 3.5mm AUX and USB-C connections.

Battery life is rated at up to 45 hours, according to Mashable, and the headphones support rapid charging. The design is described as slim and metallic.

How to get a pair

The first batch is gone, according to Mashable, so buyers cannot pick up a pair immediately through Daisy. The brand is taking sign-ups for restock alerts while it works on the next run.

For now, Daisy One is less a quiet launch than a sold-out debut in a crowded headphone market. The next test is how quickly Daisy can get more $399 pairs back in stock.
