Fantasy readers get a two-day Stuff Your Kindle Day drop

Fantasy fans have a fresh reason to clear space on their e-readers: Stuff with Fantasy’s Summer Solstice event is live July 17-18, with participating books listed at $0.99 or less, according to the event page.
The two-day promotion is part of the wider Stuff Your Kindle Day format, where readers can download discounted digital books and keep them. Mashable reports that titles picked up through the event remain in a reader’s library on Kindle or Kobo.
Stuff with Fantasy is hosting this round, and the theme is firmly in the fantasy aisle. Mashable describes the event as aimed at readers interested in dragons, dark magic and forbidden romance, with the Summer Solstice hub gathering the participating titles in one place.
What is available
The Summer Solstice page lists fantasy books at $0.99 or less, according to Stuff with Fantasy. The event hub also gives readers several ways to narrow the pile before downloading.
Filters on the page include Age Category, Spice Levels, Content Triggers, Representations, Tropes, Genres and Subgenres, Language Level and Audiobooks, according to the event listing.
Mashable notes that the event runs for two days, which gives readers longer than the 24-hour drops often seen in similar book giveaways.
How it differs from Kindle Unlimited
Stuff Your Kindle Day downloads are separate from Amazon Kindle Unlimited borrowing, according to Mashable. Books downloaded through the event are described as keepers, rather than loans.
Mashable also reports that there is no stated cap on the number of books readers can download during the event. For Kindle Unlimited subscribers, those downloads do not count toward the 20 books that can be borrowed at one time through the subscription service.
The event is not described as limited to Amazon devices. Mashable says readers can keep downloads on Kindle or Kobo.
The e-reader deal Mashable highlighted
Alongside the book promotion, Mashable pointed readers to an Amazon offer for a Kindle with 16GB of storage bundled with three months of Kindle Unlimited. The listed price in Mashable’s deal card is $109.99 at Amazon.
Mashable says Kindle e-readers offer weeks of battery life and an anti-glare display, features pitched at readers who want to carry a digital library with them.
The main clock, though, is on the books. Stuff with Fantasy’s Summer Solstice event is scheduled for July 17 and July 18, giving fantasy readers a short window to scan the listings, use the filters and stock up on low-cost digital reads.
