Harvard’s free edX courses put AI, Python and leadership on the menu

Harvard University courses in AI, Python, cybersecurity, writing and leadership are available to take free on edX, according to a July 2026 roundup from Mashable.
The selection puts some very current skills within reach without an upfront course fee. Mashable reported that Harvard’s free online catalog on edX covers personal development, artificial intelligence, programming and other subjects.
There is a catch for anyone chasing credentials. Mashable said the free versions do not come with shareable certificates of completion, graded assignments or exams. Learners who want those features need to pay for an upgrade.
For people considering the paid route, Mashable reported that edX is offering up to 30% off select courses and programs with the code 30OFFGOALS2026 through July 22, 2026.
