Kindle Paperwhite deals hit record-low prices, Mashable says
Mashable says the Kindle Paperwhite is now $124.99 and the Signature Edition is $144.99 in July 20 deals.

Two Kindle Paperwhite models have dropped to the lowest prices Mashable says it has seen, giving readers another shot at Prime Day-style pricing after Amazon’s big sale window.
As of July 20, Mashable reported that the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite was listed at $124.99, a $35 cut from its $159.99 price. The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition was listed at $144.99, $55 below its $199.99 price.
Mashable identified the standard Paperwhite as the best overall deal and the Signature Edition as the best upgrade deal. The shopping site said Best Buy had the two models at record-low prices, while also noting that, at the time of writing, neither e-reader was discounted at Amazon.
The timing is the spicy bit for anyone who skipped Prime Day. Mashable said Kindle deals tend to be strongest during Amazon-wide sales events such as Prime Day, although discounts can appear at other points in the year.

Mashable’s Lead Shopping Reporter Samantha Mangino, described by the site as its resident e-reader expert, has tested every Kindle currently available, according to the report. Mangino picked the Kindle Paperwhite as the best overall Kindle and the Paperwhite Signature Edition as the best upgraded model.
Mashable also reported that Mangino called the Kindle the best e-reader she has tried, after testing devices from brands including Kobo, Boox, Xteink and Durobo.
The standard Paperwhite comes with a 12-week battery life, 16GB of storage, waterproofing, Libby integration and a light that automatically adjusts temperature, according to Mashable. Mangino has owned the Paperwhite for two years and said it still performs as it did when she first opened it, the site reported.
At $124.99, Mashable noted, the discounted Paperwhite costs $15 more than the current price of the standard Kindle.
The Paperwhite Signature Edition keeps the 12-week battery life and seven-inch display of the standard Paperwhite, according to Mashable, while raising storage to 32GB. The report said the upgraded model also includes an auto-adjusting light, wireless charging and no lockscreen ads.
The Signature Edition’s sale price is lower than the standard Paperwhite’s full $159.99 price, Mashable noted. For shoppers choosing between the two, the current gap between the sale prices is $20.
