The Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 review from Mashable lands with a neat surprise: the new sleep earbuds cost $279, less than both the original launch price and its later price, while adding sleep tracking and longer battery life.
Mashable reviewer Bethany Allard reported that the second-generation Sleepbuds are $80 below the original model’s post-increase $349 price and also under the first model’s $299 launch price. The first version did not include sleep tracking, and it also lacked noise cancellation.
What changed with the Ozlo Sleepbuds 2?
The big new feature is sleep tracking. According to Mashable, the earbuds and smart case collect biometric and room data, then show reports in the Ozlo app with charts covering sleep stages, sleep goals, noise, temperature, sound choices, volume, mode and broader sleep trends.
The data is not pitched as a replacement for a dedicated fitness tracker. Allard wrote that it was the most complete sleep tracking she had seen in sleep earbuds, and that the feature is included without a monthly subscription.
Battery life also gets a bump. The Sleepbuds 2 are rated for 14 hours per charge, up from 10 hours on the first generation. The case holds up to three nights of charge, which Mashable said trails Soundcore’s Sleep A30 Special earbuds, whose case can last five to seven days.

The app offers more than 30 options, including nature-based soundscapes, masking sounds and nocturnes, with names such as “Warm Glow,” “All Aboard,” “Jade Static” and “Mountain Air.” Allard wrote that the sounds were balanced enough to cover room noise or a busy mind without becoming distracting.
The Sleepbuds 2 also offer five sleep modes. Mashable described options that can start sleep sounds after other audio finishes, begin playback when the earbuds detect sleep, start manually through the case, or follow a timer.
Are the Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 worth it?
Mashable’s verdict is broadly positive, with caveats. The Sleepbuds 2 add sleep tracking, improve battery life, keep the comfortable design and maintain strong app connectivity, according to the review.
The drawbacks are clear too. There is still no active noise cancellation, the charging case does not last as long as some rivals, and Ozlo removed the first generation’s on-ear touch controls, which Mashable said had been useful for snoozing alarms.
Allard concluded that the earbuds are still a premium buy and will not suit every sleeper. For shoppers who want very comfortable sleep earbuds with detailed sleep data, Mashable said the Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 make a stronger case for their price than the original model did.
