Rhaenyra’s reign looks shakier in House of the Dragon episode 6 trailer

Rhaenyra’s return to King’s Landing is looking less like a victory lap and more like a royal migraine.

A new trailer for House of the Dragon Season 3, episode 6, covered by Mashable’s Sam Haysom, suggests the pressure on Rhaenyra, played by Emma D’Arcy, is tightening after her comeback to the capital earlier in the season.

According to Mashable, the preview finds Team Black in a rough spot. The Small Council is shown struggling after the murders of multiple Gold Cloaks, leaving Rhaenyra’s side with another mess to handle as the season moves deeper into its second half.

The trailer also brings Lord Ormund Hightower back into focus. Mashable identifies the character as being played by James Norton, and notes that he delivers the line: “The patient hunter gets the kill.”

That is about as comforting as a dragon circling the roof.

The teaser arrives after several recent House of the Dragon previews have centered on Rhaenyra’s mounting problems. Mashable’s related coverage has pointed to earlier Season 3 trailers showing her facing a new enemy, struggling with the crown, and bracing for fiery battles in the back half of the season.
