A Samsung 55-inch Mini LED TV deal has pushed the Class Mini LED 4K TV down to $439.99 at Samsung, according to Mashable, taking $160 off its $599.99 list price.
Mashable reported the sale price as of July 28, with the same 55-inch Samsung Class Mini LED 4K TV also discounted at Amazon. The outlet listed Amazon’s price as $537.99 in its deal summary, while its product card showed $539.99, both below the $599.99 list price.
The lower Samsung price works out to a discount of up to 27%, according to Mashable. The outlet noted that Amazon had not matched Samsung’s lower price at the time of writing and advised shoppers who prefer Amazon to check the current listing before buying.
Where is the Samsung 55-inch Mini LED TV on sale?
According to Mashable, the best listed price is at Samsung, where the 55-inch Class Mini LED 4K TV is $439.99. Amazon also has the model on sale, though Mashable’s reporting showed it priced higher than Samsung’s deal.
- Samsung: $439.99, down from $599.99, according to Mashable
- Amazon: listed by Mashable at $537.99 in the article summary and $539.99 in the product card
- Maximum savings: $160, according to Mashable
- Maximum discount: up to 27%, according to Mashable
The TV model identified in Mashable’s deal card is the Samsung 55-inch Class Mini LED 4K TV (M80H). The outlet described it as a fit for a larger bedroom or rec room, and also pointed to its gaming appeal because of its 144 Hz refresh rate.
Mini LED refers to the TV’s backlighting system. Mashable says the Mini LED backlighting on this Samsung set is meant to help produce sharper contrast and deeper black tones.
The TV also includes Samsung’s Pure Spectrum Color technology, according to Mashable. The outlet said that feature is intended to make the picture look more lifelike, and paired it with the set’s HDR picture quality as part of the appeal.
Why are shoppers being pointed to this TV now?
Mashable tied the deal to the run-up to new fall TV, naming upcoming episodes or seasons of Abbott Elementary, Survivor, The Traitors: New Blood, and Slow Horses on Apple TV. The pitch is straightforward: if the old screen is feeling tired before September’s viewing pileup, this discounted 55-inch set is one option to check.
The main buying note is price. Mashable’s numbers put Samsung well below Amazon for the same model at the time it reported the deal, so shoppers comparing the two retailers may want to look closely at the live checkout price before deciding where to buy.
