Samsung is bringing its foldable phones to the bar, with a short-run London pub built around the Galaxy Fold look and feel.
The company has announced The Fold Inn, a pop-up venue inspired by its Galaxy Fold lineup, opening for two days at 15 Bateman Street in Soho. Samsung says the space is designed to mix a familiar British pub setting with the design language of its foldable devices.
The headline attraction is a bar shaped around the fold concept, taking cues from Samsung’s Galaxy Fold hardware. Visitors will also be able to try the company’s newest Galaxy Z devices in person, according to Samsung.
What visitors can expect
The Fold Inn is being presented as both a themed pub and a product showcase. Samsung says the venue will give people a hands-on look at its latest foldable phones in a setting meant to feel very London, rather than like a standard tech demo room.
The drinks menu is also part of the stunt. Samsung says the pop-up will serve custom beverages, with each drink made to reflect the personality and features of the newest Galaxy Z lineup.
No specific drink names or device models were detailed in the announcement, but the concept is clear: pints, phones and plenty of folding design cues under one temporary roof.
Opening times and location
The Fold Inn will operate for two days only, according to Samsung.
- Friday, July 24, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. BST
- Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. BST
The address is The Fold Inn, 15 Bateman Street, London, W1D 4AQ, UK.
The pop-up lands as Samsung continues to put its Galaxy Z foldables at the center of its mobile push. Rather than limiting the pitch to screens and specs, the company is turning the foldable idea into a physical space, right down to the bar design and the drinks list.
For Londoners and visitors already in the city, it is a brief chance to see Samsung’s latest foldable phones outside the usual shop-floor setup. For Samsung, it is a neatly packaged bit of pub theatre: a classic local format folded around its newest devices.
