Samsung heart phone is an AI fake, not a secret Galaxy drop
A viral Samsung heart phone clip has millions of Instagram views, but the gadget comes from an AI-heavy fanmade account.

The Samsung heart phone lighting up social feeds is not a surprise new handset. Mashable reported that the clip, which shows a Samsung-branded, heart-shaped device being unwrapped in a store, was made with AI and that the phone does not exist.
The video has spread across X and Instagram, drawing thousands of likes and shares, according to Mashable. Some users spotted the fake quickly, while others asked whether the device was real or said they wanted to buy it.
Is the Samsung heart phone real?
No. Mashable reported that the viral video was originally posted on Instagram by @tanu_mobile, an account filled with AI-generated clips showing fantasy tech products. The Instagram reel had reached 49.2 million views at the time of Mashable’s report.
The same account has posted other recent AI-style heart phone clips using Apple and Vivo branding, according to Mashable. Some descriptions on the account call the designs “fanmade,” although Mashable noted that the videos do not explicitly disclose that they were created with AI.
Mashable also pointed to an earlier Samsung-branded heart phone post from the account, where @tanu_mobile acknowledged that the video was AI-generated. In another clip showing a heart-shaped Vivo phone, the AI tell is more obvious: a woman’s clothing changes into a different outfit during the video, according to Mashable.
What gives the fake phone away?
The current Samsung clip has several clues that it is not a real product. Mashable reported that Samsung signage reflected on the phone is misspelled, and that the app names shown on the device are distorted.
The app icons also do the fake no favors. The supposed Samsung device appears to show Apple’s Phone, Notes and Calendar apps, according to Mashable. Samsung phones run Android, so those iOS apps would not appear on an actual Galaxy handset in that form.
Generative AI videos can now make slick product clips that look like retail demos at a glance. A tell is any visual detail that fails under scrutiny, such as warped text, changing objects, mismatched software or branding that does not fit the product.
Has Samsung made a heart-shaped phone?
Mashable reported that there have been no reports of Samsung working on heart-shaped phones. The company has experimented with phone shapes through foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which Mashable described as having a shorter body than typical modern smartphones.
That is a long way from a heart-shaped handset. For now, the viral clip is a social media fantasy, not a device headed for stores.
The episode is a sharp reminder for tech fans scrolling through eye-catching gadget videos. If a wild-looking product appears online with no earlier rumors, no official announcement and strange visual glitches, it is worth checking before falling for the feed candy.
