Aaron Rodgers gym time is already on the board before camp: TMZ Sports reported the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback spent about three hours at a Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles this week.
The 42-year-old was seen leaving a location of the gym chain in the City of Angels, according to TMZ Sports, days before NFL training camp officially begins next week.
TMZ Sports said it tried to speak with Rodgers as he exited, but the four-time NFL MVP did not stop for a conversation.
The workout came as Rodgers closes out his summer before reporting to Steelers training camp, where he is set to begin his 22nd NFL season. TMZ Sports noted that Rodgers has said this will be his final season in the league.
When does Aaron Rodgers report to Steelers training camp?
TMZ Sports reported that Steelers training camp officially starts next week, and Rodgers is expected to report soon. The camp will mark his first with Pittsburgh and the last preseason ramp-up of his NFL career, according to the report.
Training camp is the period before the regular season when teams gather for practices, roster work and preparation. For a veteran quarterback, it is also the first full-team stretch to build timing with coaches and teammates before games begin.
Rodgers’ Los Angeles stop was not a quick pop-in, either. TMZ Sports reported he remained inside the gym for roughly three hours, at a facility the outlet described as a regular haunt for celebrities and athletes in the city.
The quarterback has had a public family moment recently, too. On Instagram, Rodgers shared photos with his mother, father and brother Luke, writing, “Another bonding week,” according to the post shown by TMZ Sports.
TMZ Sports reported that the photos followed Rodgers revealing he had repaired his relationship with his parents after years of estrangement.
Rodgers enters this final run with one of the most decorated resumes of his era. TMZ Sports described him as a future first-ballot Hall of Famer, and cited his four NFL MVP awards as he prepares for one more camp.
For now, the public snapshot is simple: Rodgers was in Los Angeles, put in a long gym session, skipped the curbside chat and is headed toward Pittsburgh’s camp with one season left on the clock.
