Alexandra Daddario has wrapped a lead role in American Fever Dream, Jaclyn Noel’s indie drama about a family’s long slide into poverty.

The American Fever Dream cast is led by Alexandra Daddario, who has wrapped a starring role in the indie drama from first-time feature director Jaclyn Noel, Deadline reported.
The film also features Christopher Convery, Julian Morris and Spenser Granese. Noel wrote and directed the project, which follows one middle-class family across almost 20 years as its financial footing gives way.
According to Deadline, Daddario plays Carrie, a mother trying to keep her family together as their lives steadily worsen. Convery plays her son, James, while Morris plays her husband, Bo. Granese is also in the cast, though his role has not been disclosed.
What is American Fever Dream about?
American Fever Dream is an indie drama about a hopeful middle-class family that falls into poverty over the course of nearly two decades, Deadline reported. The story is framed around the erosion of the American Dream through one family’s experience.
The movie marks Noel’s feature directing debut. She is also among the producers, alongside Apoorva Guru Charan through the All Caps banner, Nick Young, Lauren Mann, Daddario and Heather Francis.

Daddario is best known to many viewers for HBO’s The White Lotus, a role that earned her an Emmy nomination. Deadline reported that she is also close to wrapping production on Season 3 of AMC’s Mayfair Witches.
Her recent screen work includes Tommy Dorfman’s I Wish You All the Best and Nora Kirkpatrick’s A Tree Fell in the Woods, in which she appears opposite Josh Gad, Ashley Park and Daveed Diggs. Deadline also reported that she will star opposite Finn Wittrock in Hershey, a November biopic centered on the complicated legacy of the Hershey chocolate dynasty.
Convery has recently appeared in the indie films Prisoner’s Daughter and Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game. Morris is known for television roles in Pretty Little Liars and Hand of God, with recent credits including The Twelve Dates ’Til Christmas and guest appearances on The Good Fight and The Morning Show.
Granese was recently seen in A24’s Oscar-nominated Marty Supreme, as well as the series Grotesquerie, Dope Thief and S.W.A.T. Deadline reported that he is also due to appear as a villain in a Lionsgate home invasion film directed by Julian Labrádor.
