Andrew and Tristan Tate face UK extradition after new CPS charges
The brothers were arrested in Miami after British prosecutors announced dozens of additional alleged sex, trafficking and pornography offenses.

Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate are set to be extradited to the United Kingdom after British prosecutors announced a new batch of charges against the brothers, their attorney Joseph McBride told TMZ.
The Crown Prosecution Service said the latest charges relate to alleged conduct between 2010 and 2017. Prosecutors announced 32 additional charges against Andrew and six against Tristan over the weekend.
According to the CPS, Andrew’s new charges include seven counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault, and 19 counts tied to alleged indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.
The CPS said Tristan is facing one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.
More charges on top of earlier case
The new allegations come on top of 21 charges previously announced by the CPS in May last year. Prosecutors said at the time that Andrew faced 11 of those earlier charges and Tristan faced 10.
McBride blasted the timing and substance of the latest case, telling TMZ the brothers should not be extradited while legal proceedings in Romania are still ongoing.
He also said the arrest complicates a defamation trial in Palm Beach, where the brothers are due to appear. McBride described the UK move as interference with the due process rights of two American citizens.
McBride accused the CPS of bringing the new allegations overnight or early Saturday morning, and called them “ridiculous, salacious, and meant to make headlines.” He also claimed there is no evidence supporting the allegations.
In a statement to TMZ, McBride said the brothers have continued traveling and attending court in Romania. He said they have not missed appearances there and added that the Florida trial “looks promising.”
Arrested in Miami
TMZ reported that U.S. Marshals took Andrew and Tristan into custody Saturday in downtown Miami, outside a bareknuckle boxing event that Andrew had been scheduled to cohost.
The brothers have not been convicted of the newly announced UK charges. Their lawyer has denied the allegations and framed the extradition push as politically motivated, saying the UK is targeting Andrew and Tristan.
The CPS, for its part, has publicly listed the charges and said they are tied to alleged conduct spanning 2010 through 2017.
The case now adds another legal front for the Tate brothers, who are already dealing with proceedings in Romania and the upcoming defamation case in Florida, according to McBride.
