Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez were photographed walking through Central Park on Thursday, and TMZ says the outing put their renewed relationship on very public display.
According to TMZ, the photos show Grande and Alvarez close together during a stroll in New York City. Alvarez, Grande’s former backup dancer and former boyfriend, had his arm around her shoulder, while Grande had her arm around his waist.
TMZ reported that Grande was also walking a dog during the outing. The outlet said the dog appeared as though it could be Toulouse, Grande’s well-known pup.
A very public park stroll
The Central Park photos are the latest piece of the puzzle after weeks of attention around Grande and Alvarez. TMZ previously reported that the singer and Alvarez are back together following speculation about their relationship.
The pair have history. Alvarez was one of Grande’s former flames, and their past relationship later became part of her pop-culture lore through her hit “Thank U, Next.”
TMZ reported that Grande has recently changed lyrics in “Thank U, Next” during her shows to refer to Alvarez in a more positive way. The outlet said the lyric switch came after Alvarez had been seen spending time around Grande again.
According to TMZ, Alvarez was photographed with Grande while she was on tour in Texas last month. That appearance helped fuel questions about whether the two had moved beyond friendly exes.
The Fourth of July added more fuel. TMZ reported that Grande and Alvarez spent the holiday together and were seen picking up food from a Whole Foods in Florida.
From tour sightings to New York
The New York walk marks another sighting in a stretch that has kept fans watching closely. TMZ’s latest photos show the two relaxed and physically affectionate in one of the city’s most photographed public spaces.
Grande has not announced a new relationship in the details reported by TMZ, but the outlet has described the pair as reunited. The Central Park images, as described by TMZ, show them walking with their arms around each other rather than keeping distance from the attention.
For now, the public record is a run of sightings: Texas during Grande’s tour, Florida over the Fourth of July, and now Central Park. TMZ’s photos put Grande and Alvarez together again, this time in full view in New York.
