Beauty in Black season 3 now has a date: Tyler Perry’s drama will premiere August 27, Deadline reported, alongside a fresh batch of first-look photos from the new episodes.
The reveal lands after a course correction for the series. Deadline reported that Beauty in Black was recently renewed for a fourth season, despite earlier news that the show would end with Season 3.
When does Beauty in Black season 3 premiere?
Beauty in Black season 3 premieres August 27, according to Deadline. The new photos preview returning players including Taylor Polidore Williams as Kimmie and Crystle Stewart as Mallory.
The series is created, written, directed and executive produced by Perry. It centers on two women whose lives collide from wildly different starting points: Kimmie, played by Polidore Williams, is trying to survive after being thrown out by her mother, while Stewart’s Mallory is running a successful business.
Their connection has only grown messier. Deadline’s description of Season 2 says the family behind a beauty brand is tied to an underground trafficking ring and is headed for consequences. Kimmie, described as a formerly overlooked sex worker in their orbit, is on a mission to save her kidnapped sister.
Season 3 raises the stakes inside the Bellarie orbit. Deadline reported that Kimmie has finally earned a place at the Bellarie table, but a deadly feud inside the family pushes her into an uncomfortable partnership with Mallory.
The new season’s story involves blackmail, revenge and hidden secrets, according to Deadline. The family also turns against one of its own, putting the Bellarie empire at risk.
