Bryce Alakai did not leave the party soundtrack to chance after his “Love Island USA” win with Trinity Tatum. TMZ reports the reality champ turned a private West Hollywood celebration into a rooftop dance party by jumping behind the DJ booth himself.
According to TMZ, Alakai and Tatum marked their return from Fiji on Wednesday night at The Bird Streets Club, a members-only spot in West Hollywood. The gathering was hosted by Alakai’s manager, Eric Podwall.
TMZ reports about 20 guests sat down for a three-course tasting dinner on the club’s private terrace before the night moved upstairs. The dinner brought together a mix of reality stars, TV actors and music names, all there to toast the newly crowned Peacock winners.
The guest list, according to TMZ, included fellow “Love Island USA” personalities Zach and Charlie Georgiou, *NSYNC member JC Chasez and his girlfriend Jennifer HuYoung, “Glee” actors Kevin McHale and Chris Colfer, and “The Sandlot” actor Patrick Renna. TMZ also reported that several other cast members from the Peacock dating series attended.
Before the rooftop took over, musician Henry Cornell performed at the piano during dinner, TMZ reports. Guests gathered around for an unplanned sing-along featuring songs by Billy Joel, according to the outlet.
Dinner turned into a rooftop set
After the meal, the celebration shifted to the club’s rooftop lounge, where TMZ says Alakai took control of the music. People at the party told the outlet he plugged his own USB drive into the booth and played for about an hour and a half.
Tatum spent much of the set beside Alakai in the DJ area, according to TMZ. She later left the booth and joined Chris Colfer and JC Chasez on the dance floor, the outlet reported.
TMZ says Chasez and HuYoung were dancing through the set, while the party expanded beyond the original dinner crowd as other club members joined in. The outlet reported that the rooftop filled up with people dancing and celebrating Alakai and Tatum’s win.
The night capped a quick switch from villa life to West Hollywood nightlife for Alakai and Tatum, whose “Love Island USA” victory had just brought them back from Fiji. TMZ did not report any comments from Alakai, Tatum or the other attendees about the celebration.
