Candace Bushnell and Margaret Josephs are stepping into E!’s The Golden Life, with the network ordering more Season 1 episodes of the reality series, Deadline reported Thursday.

The show brings together familiar faces from Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City, following Kelly Bensimon, Countess Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer as they live in Palm Beach, Florida.

The added episodes will shift the action to the Hamptons, according to Deadline. That is where the returning New York crew will cross paths with Bushnell, the author behind Sex and the City, and Josephs, an alum of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Bushnell and Josephs are set to appear across the Hamptons-based installments, Deadline reported. The new stretch of episodes is expected to broaden the cast’s social circle, with the setting moving from Palm Beach to the Hamptons.

E! adds more episodes

Val Boreland, president of entertainment at Versant, said the company has liked what it has seen from the series so far.

“We’re incredibly encouraged by what we’ve seen so far on The Golden Life and are thrilled to expand the season with additional episodes and to welcome Candace and Margaret to E!,” Boreland said, according to Deadline. “We can’t wait to see what unfolds as the ladies take over the Hamptons this summer.”

E! plans to debut the first half of The Golden Life this fall, Deadline reported.

Bushnell already has history with the New York Housewives world. Deadline noted that she appeared on The Real Housewives of New York City several times during its run.

One of those appearances became tied to a well-known Dorinda Medley moment. Deadline reported that Medley’s “I’ll tell you how I’m doing… Not well, b***h” line was directed at Bushnell.

The cast so far

The Season 1 lineup now includes Bensimon, de Lesseps, Medley, Morgan, Singer, Bushnell and Josephs, according to Deadline.

The project has already had a cast change. Deadline previously reported that RHONY alum Jill Zarin had originally been part of the show before being fired after what the outlet described as a racist social media rant about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance.

After Zarin’s exit, the network confirmed Medley would be joining the cast, Deadline reported. No response from Zarin was included in Deadline’s latest report.

The Golden Life is produced by Blink49 Studios. Deadline reported that Tara Long, Nadine Rajabi, Mark Ford and Ben Megargel are executive producers.
