Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will be the end of the road for Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, according to entertainment trade reports published Sept. 21, 2026. Variety and Deadline each reported that the upcoming Disney+ season will be the Marvel series’ final installment.
The third season has completed production and is expected to arrive on Disney+ in 2027, Variety and Deadline reported. Neither outlet’s report included an exact premiere date or a reason for the show ending.
Is Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 the final season?
Yes, according to the three trade publications that reported the news. Variety said it had confirmed Season 3 as the final season, while Deadline reported that sources said cast members were told that morning that the series would conclude with the newly filmed episodes.
The Hollywood Reporter also reported, citing sources, that the third season would be the last. Cox stars as the blind lawyer and vigilante Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil.
Filming is finished, but a production change was reported
Season 3 wrapped filming about two months before the reports, according to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Deadline likewise reported that production had concluded.
The Hollywood Reporter separately said Marvel had parted ways with showrunner Dario Scardapane after his contract expired and was not renewed. That report said it was not clear who would oversee the remaining post-production work, though one of the outlet’s sources said post-production was in its final stages.

Beyond its expected 2027 release window, little has been reported about the story or episode rollout for the final season. Deadline listed Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Wilson Bethel among the series’ cast alongside Cox.
