Desiigner is in custody in South Carolina after being arrested on a domestic violence charge, according to jail records obtained by TMZ.

The rapper, best known for “Panda,” was booked Tuesday afternoon and remained jailed, TMZ reported. The records list one count of second-degree domestic violence against him.

He also faces three counts of malicious injury to animals or personal property, tied to alleged damage valued between $2,000 and $10,000, according to the records cited by TMZ.

Bond has not been set on the domestic violence count or on two of the property damage counts, TMZ reported. A $1,500 bond has been set for the remaining property damage count.

Details of the alleged incident have not been made clear. TMZ reported that it is not yet known what led to the charges or what authorities allege happened.

Another case earlier this year

The South Carolina arrest follows another domestic violence case involving Desiigner earlier this year, according to TMZ.

In that prior case, TMZ reported that the rapper was arrested on a third-degree domestic violence charge after an alleged incident involving the mother of his child.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ in that case, the woman accused Desiigner of grabbing her, ripping her sweatpants and throwing her to the ground during an argument. He was later released on a $1,500 bond, TMZ reported.

The new records do not say whether the latest charge is connected to that prior case. TMZ did not report a link between the two alleged incidents.

Past legal trouble

Desiigner has also faced a separate legal matter tied to an airplane incident. In 2023, he was charged with indecent exposure after an incident on an international flight returning to the United States, TMZ reported.

TMZ said it contacted Desiigner’s representatives for comment on the latest arrest and had not received a response.

The current charges are allegations, and the available records cited by TMZ do not include Desiigner’s account of what happened.
