Deadline reports Chris Pratt, Sarah Silverman and more will guest star in the indie TV adaptation led by Ben Schwartz and Lauren Lapkus.

The Earliest Show guest stars now include Chris Pratt, Sarah Silverman, Lamorne Morris and a long roll call of comedy and screen names, according to Deadline.
The new TV version of the cult comedy digital series will feature Pratt, Silverman, Gillian Jacobs, Nicole Byer, Morris, K Callan, Mary Holland, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Majeed Nami, Jillian Bell, Tawny Newsome, Gil Ozeri, Nate Smith, Drew Tarver and Samara Weaving opposite Ben Schwartz and Lauren Lapkus, Deadline reported.
Schwartz and Lapkus are returning to the roles they played in the original Funny or Die series, which launched in 2016 and earned Emmy nominations for the pair, according to Deadline.
Who is guest starring in The Earliest Show?
The guest list reported by Deadline includes Chris Pratt, Sarah Silverman, Gillian Jacobs, Nicole Byer, Lamorne Morris, K Callan, Mary Holland, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Majeed Nami, Jillian Bell, Tawny Newsome, Gil Ozeri, Nate Smith, Drew Tarver and Samara Weaving.
Deadline previously reported that Kevin Carroll, Ryan Gaul, Henry Winkler and Brandon Scott Jones are set to appear as well.
The series centers on the behind-the-scenes mess and momentum of what Deadline describes as the earliest live morning show in upstate New York. Schwartz plays host Josh Bath, while Lapkus plays Samantha Newman.
Schwartz is writing and directing every episode, according to Deadline. He and Lapkus are executive producers on the project.
How is the Earliest Show TV adaptation being made?
The show is being produced without a network or streamer already attached, Deadline reported. Amplify Pictures and Stay Tuned are fully co-financing the independent series.
Deadline said Amplify is using its model of greenlighting series before traditional distribution is in place, a structure intended to give creators more ownership and creative control. Irony Point and Funny or Die are attached to the project as well.
The executive producer lineup includes Amplify’s Joe Lewis, Rachel Eggebeen, Colin King Miller and Luke Esselen; Stay Tuned’s Kenny Neibart, Doug Banker and Barry Kotler; Irony Point’s Daniel Powell and Alex Bach; and Funny or Die’s Henry R. Muñoz III, Ricardo Martinez, Ben Gigli and Jessica Renick, according to Deadline.
Irony Point is overseeing physical production, Deadline reported.
The original Earliest Show became a small-format comedy favorite through Funny or Die, built around the cheerful chaos of morning television. The TV adaptation brings back its central duo while stacking the guest bench with performers from film, television and stand-up.
