Who does Graeme Thomas King play in Robin Hood?
King plays Prince John, a royal figure whose drive for influence appears set to become a bigger part of the story. His move from recurring player to series regular signals that the court politics around King Henry II’s family will carry more weight in the new season.
The role adds another pressure point for Rob and Marian as the MGM+ drama pushes its outlaw story into royal territory. Deadline reports that the second season will broaden the show’s setting beyond Sherwood and Nottingham into courts in England, France and Rome.
What is Robin Hood season 2 about?
Per the official logline cited by Deadline, season 2 turns the rebellion into a wider fight over the kingdom’s future as the Angevin empire risks breaking apart. Rob and Marian are pulled toward kings and queens and must use the machinery of Norman power while trying to secure a future for the Saxons.
That shift gives the series a bigger political canvas, moving from forest rebellion into palace maneuvering. Prince John’s rise in the ensemble fits that expansion, since the character’s ambition and unstable alliances feed directly into the royal conflict.
Jack Patten, Lauren McQueen and Sean Bean star in the series. Deadline also lists Lydia Peckham, Steven Waddington and Connie Nielsen among the cast.
Season 2 will be available to MGM+ viewers in the U.S., UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, Latin America, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, according to Deadline.
Robin Hood is produced by Lionsgate Television. Deadline reports that showrunner John Glenn, director Jonathan English and Hidden Pictures’ Todd Lieberman serve as executive producers.
