The Jalen Brunson club video making the NBA rounds is a quick little New York nightlife scoreboard: Michael Porter Jr. appears to wait while security checks a guest list, then Brunson arrives and heads right inside.
Underdog NBA shared the clip on X on Saturday night, showing the Brooklyn Nets forward standing outside a club as security appears to confirm whether he is cleared to enter. TMZ Sports reported on the same video, noting the contrast once the Knicks guard pulled up.
In the footage, Porter is easy to spot above the crowd outside the entrance. The clip does not show a confrontation or any extended delay, only what appears to be a brief check at the door.
Moments later, Brunson’s ride arrives. According to TMZ Sports, the Knicks captain steps out and walks into the club without stopping.
What happened in the Jalen Brunson club video?
The video shows Brooklyn Nets player Michael Porter Jr. appearing to be screened by club security while Jalen Brunson is allowed to enter without a visible pause. Underdog NBA captioned the post by saying security checked for Porter’s name as Brunson walked in.
TMZ Sports framed the moment as a very New York bit of basketball hierarchy at the door. Porter now plays for the Nets, while Brunson is the face of the Knicks team TMZ said he just led to its first NBA title in 53 years.
Brunson’s current status is part of why the clip caught fire. TMZ identified him as the Knicks captain and reigning NBA Finals MVP, which helps explain why a routine club entrance turned into instant social-media fodder.
Porter, meanwhile, is identified in the clip and in TMZ’s report as a Brooklyn Nets star. The footage does not indicate that he was denied entry, only that security appeared to check the list while he stood outside.
Influencer Alix Earle also arrived moments later and went inside, according to TMZ Sports. The report did not say whether she arrived with either player or as part of a separate group.
The whole scene is short, low-drama and very online: two NBA names, one velvet-rope moment, and a crowd ready to notice every second of it. For Knicks fans, the takeaway was easy. Brunson’s championship glow apparently travels well after dark.
