Jared Leto BBC documentary details sexual conduct allegations
The BBC film features 10 women describing encounters with Jared Leto, including four who allege unlawful sexual conduct.

A new Jared Leto BBC documentary has put fresh scrutiny on the Oscar-winning actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman, with 10 women describing encounters they said took place between 2002 and 2016.
The BBC film, titled Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, includes four women who allege unlawful sexual conduct by Leto, according to Deadline. Nine of the women were speaking publicly about their experiences for the first time, the report said.
Leto, 54, did not respond to the BBC’s requests for comment, according to Deadline. Deadline said it had contacted his representatives for comment. Leto has previously denied sexual impropriety after a 2025 Air Mail report about allegations against him.
What does the Jared Leto BBC documentary allege?
One woman, identified by the BBC with the pseudonym Isabel, alleged that Leto sexually assaulted her in a Las Vegas motel bathroom in 2002, when she was 17 and he was in his 30s. She alleged that while he was in the shower, he grabbed her hand and used it to masturbate himself, according to Deadline’s account of the documentary.
Isabel said in the BBC film that warning signs began going off in her head and that she realized she was in a bad situation. Deadline reported that she became emotional in the documentary while recalling that she pulled away and left the room.
A second woman, identified as Alex, alleged that Leto made a sexual threat after a Thirty Seconds to Mars concert at London’s O2 Arena in 2013. She was 19 at the time and said she had been encouraged to go to an after-party, but claimed she instead entered a dark hotel room where only Leto was present.
Alex said she felt unsafe and suggested sleeping on a chaise longue in the room. She alleged that Leto then told her she would wake up “with a dick in her ass.” Deadline reported that Alex left and later texted a friend, who replied that the alleged remark was a threat of sexual assault and should be reported.
A third woman, called Clara in the BBC documentary, said she had sex with Leto at his California home in 2006 when she was 17 and he was 34. Deadline reported that the encounter would be classified as statutory rape in California. Clara said there had been a discussion about the age of consent and alleged that Leto did not treat it as a major concern.
A fourth woman, identified as Etta, alleged that Leto made sexual phone calls to her when she was 16 after they met at a Los Angeles modeling agency in 2014. She told the BBC that Leto later asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement. She refused and showed the BBC the document, according to Deadline.
What had Jared Leto previously denied?
Public allegations against Leto gained attention last year after Los Angeles DJ Allie Teilz posted on Instagram that he had assaulted her when she was 17. Deadline said her post included a screenshot of a 2012 Facebook status in which she alleged Leto had tried to force himself on her backstage at an M83 show.
The post drew replies from other women alleging similar experiences, Deadline reported. Air Mail later published a 2025 report in which nine women accused Leto of inappropriate behavior.
At the time, Leto’s representative “expressly denied” the women’s accusations to Air Mail, according to Deadline, including Teilz’s allegation, which the representative called “demonstrably false.”
Leto is represented by WME, Deadline reported. His recent screen work includes playing Skeletor in Masters of the Universe, and he is attached to the Searchlight Pictures project Lunik Heist.
