The Lil Uzi Vert Lollapalooza cancellation hit Friday’s schedule at Chicago’s Grant Park after the festival said weather issues meant the rapper would no longer perform. The official Lollapalooza account announced the change on July 31, 2026, shortly before Vert’s planned T-Mobile Stage slot.
Zara Larsson was moved into the opening. Lollapalooza said she would play the T-Mobile Stage from 6:20 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. and directed fans to a newly updated schedule.
Why was Lil Uzi Vert’s Lollapalooza set canceled?
Lollapalooza gave weather issues as the reason for the cancellation. Deadline reported that Vert had been scheduled for 6:40 p.m. on the T-Mobile Stage, ahead of Charli XCX’s headlining performance.
The change applied to Vert’s scheduled Friday performance, not the entire festival. Grant Park Events listed Lollapalooza in Chicago from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. that day, with Vert, Major Lazer and Larsson among the acts on the bill.
Did Lil Uzi Vert still appear at Lollapalooza?
Yes, according to Deadline. After the cancellation announcement, Lollapalooza said Vert would join Major Lazer on Perry’s Stage later that night.
Deadline reported that Major Lazer posted video of Vert performing “Just Wanna Rock,” his 2022 single, during the appearance. That gave festivalgoers a late pivot after the weather forced the scheduled T-Mobile Stage set off the timetable.
