Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel are getting very close to the real walk down the aisle, and Backgrid video from Friday shows the pair already testing out the big kiss.
The 1975 frontman and the model were filmed at a wedding rehearsal in Hollywood, according to TMZ. In the clip, Healy and Bechtel appear to move through the ceremony routine, including a walk down the aisle, what looks like a vow exchange, and a kiss finished with a dip.
The rehearsal had full wedding-week polish. TMZ reported Healy wore a black suit, while Bechtel arrived in a long black coat that appeared to cover a white gown underneath.
After the run-through, the couple left the Hollywood location in a black Rolls-Royce convertible, TMZ reported. They were seen smiling and thanking photographers who offered congratulations.
The night did not end at the rehearsal venue. According to TMZ, Healy and Bechtel later went to Rainbow Bar & Grill, the well-known West Hollywood spot, for a gathering with family and friends.
A wedding after a busy celebrity summer
The rehearsal comes as Healy and Bechtel prepare for their wedding, following their reported engagement. TMZ has identified Bechtel as Healy’s fiancée and previously reported the couple’s engagement in 2024.
The timing also lands shortly after another high-profile wedding connected to Healy’s past. TMZ reported that Taylor Swift, Healy’s ex, married Travis Kelce weeks earlier at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Swift and Healy had a long friendship before they were believed to have dated after Swift’s split from Joe Alwyn in spring 2023, according to TMZ. Their reported romance lasted less than two months, and Swift later met Kelce in July 2023 during her Eras Tour run, TMZ reported.
TMZ also reported that Bechtel and Swift had bachelorette weekends around the same period. With Swift and Kelce already married, Bechtel is now the one nearing her own ceremony.
No wedding date was stated in TMZ’s report, but Friday’s rehearsal video showed Healy and Bechtel moving through the ceremony steps and celebrating afterward with people close to them.
