Maya Jama Love Island speculation has kicked up again, but the host says the chatter about her leaving the ITV2 dating show is off the mark.

Jama told Deadline that reports about her future on the series have become a regular feature around each new run. She said she does not make a decision about returning until a series has finished, which means no final call has been made on what comes next.

“I never know,” Jama told Deadline. She said the UK press has repeated the same claim for the past three years, with reports suggesting she is leaving whenever she does another series.

Jama added that people then pick up the rumor and ask whether she is going. Her answer, for now, is that she has not announced an exit.

Is Maya Jama leaving Love Island UK?

Jama told Deadline that it is “fake news” that she is leaving Love Island UK. She also said she usually decides at the end of a series whether she will carry on the following year.

That leaves her future open rather than settled. According to Deadline, Jama is currently hosting Season 13 of Love Island UK, and she will not know her next move until she finishes those duties.

Jama also explained to Deadline that her Love Island UK deal covers more than the main summer series. When she signs on for the show, the contract also includes Love Island All Stars, the winter spin-off that usually airs near the start of the year.

The host has become one of the most visible faces of the franchise. Deadline noted that U.S. audiences can watch Love Island UK through Hulu, which holds the American rights, expanding the show’s reach beyond its ITV2 home in Britain.

What did Maya Jama say about The Voice UK rumors?

Jama also shut down talk that she is heading to The Voice UK. Asked by Deadline about reports linking her to the ITV1 singing competition, she said the UK press throws names into the mix and made clear: “I’m not hosting that.”

The rumor surfaced as Emma Willis’ future on The Voice UK has drawn attention. Deadline reported that Willis was recently confirmed as one of the hosts of BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing and is reportedly leaving The Voice UK after Season 14 ends later this year.

Jama’s schedule is also stretching beyond the villa. Deadline reported that she is set to appear in Season 2 of Netflix’s The Gentleman, adding acting work to her presenting career.

For Love Island UK viewers, the immediate date is already set. Deadline reported that the Season 13 finale airs Monday, July 27, on ITV2 in the UK.

U.S. viewers will have to wait a few extra days. The finale is scheduled to stream Thursday, July 30, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, according to Deadline.
