Netflix's 13 Going on 30 reboot adds three more to the cast
Taylor Ortega, Tim Meadows and Dan Bucatinsky have joined Netflix’s reboot, with Jennifer Garner executive producing.

Taylor Ortega, Tim Meadows and Dan Bucatinsky are the latest names attached to Netflix’s reboot of 13 Going on 30, Deadline reported.
The trio will appear in roles that have not yet been disclosed. They join a cast that already includes Emily Bader, Logan Lerman, Adeline Rudolph and Jessica Alba, according to Deadline.
Netflix has not revealed plot information or character details for the new version. Production began in Los Angeles last month, with original star Jennifer Garner serving as an executive producer, Deadline reported.
The original film still has sparkle
The 2004 Columbia Pictures romantic comedy followed a 13-year-old girl who magically wakes up in her 30-year-old body and has to deal with adult life while figuring out who she has become.
Garner played the adult version of the central character opposite Mark Ruffalo. Gary Winick directed the film, which earned about $96 million in theaters, according to Deadline.
The title has kept a steady grip on pop culture since its release. Garner has also executive produced a stage musical version of 13 Going on 30, which debuted at the Manchester Opera House last fall, Deadline reported.
Who is making the reboot
Brett Haley, whose credits include Netflix’s People We Meet on Vacation, is directing the reboot. Hannah Marks wrote the script, with revisions by Flora Greeson, Deadline reported. Marks’ credits include Mark, Mary, & Some Other People, while Greeson is linked to The Princess Diaries 3.
Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are producing through RK Films. Garner is executive producing with Donna Roth and Susan Arnold, Scott Hemming for Revolution Studios, Alyssa Altman for RK Films, Marks, Gina Matthews and Ted Gidlow, according to Deadline.
The newest cast members
Ortega has recently appeared on CBS’s Ghosts and Netflix’s Big Mistakes. Deadline noted she is also known for a major role on Fox’s Welcome to Flatch.
Her film credits include Paul Feig’s Prime Video projects Another Simple Favor and Jackpot!. She is represented by Gersh, Mosaic and Granderson Des Rochers, Deadline reported.
Meadows, a former Saturday Night Live cast member, is known for comedy roles including Mean Girls and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. He has recently starred in CBS’ workplace comedy DMV and recurred on HBO Max’s Peacemaker, according to Deadline.
He is also set to appear in A24’s The Chaperones, starring Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson. Deadline reported Meadows is represented by Reliant Talent and Brillstein.
Bucatinsky is known for executive producing and starring with Lisa Kudrow in HBO’s The Comeback, which returned after a decade for a third and final season. He has also recently appeared in HBO’s Hacks, Deadline reported.
Bucatinsky is represented by Innovative, The Rosenzweig Group and Myman Greenspan Fox, according to Deadline.
