Christmas Day has a wizard-sized TV date: Deadline reports that Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, a new drama series for HBO Max, is set for December 25.

The listing, compiled by Deadline managing editor Erik Pedersen and updated July 17, tracks hundreds of 2026 premieres across broadcast, cable and streaming. Deadline says the calendar covers new series, returning seasons, shows coming back from hiatus and select live events including sports and awards broadcasts.

The roster also leaves plenty of room for mystery. Many programs remain marked TBA, including a batch of fall broadcast staples and several streaming titles still waiting for exact dates.

Summer brings the big returns

July is stacked across the dial. Deadline lists King of the Hill Season 15 on Hulu for July 20, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 on Paramount+ for July 23 and The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 on AMC for July 26.

Netflix has several July launches and returns on the calendar, including new drama series The East Palace and limited drama The Map of Longing on July 17, Spooky in Love on July 18, Ransom Canyon Season 2 on July 23 and Wrath on July 29.

August is just as busy. Deadline lists Ted Lasso Season 4 on Apple TV for August 5, sharing the date with Netflix’s final season of One Hundred Years of Solitude, FX’s new drama The Shards and the Hulu and Disney+ animated entry Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi.

Other August highlights include Lanterns, a new HBO drama, on August 16; It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 18 on FXX and FX on August 17; and the final season of Netflix’s Outer Banks on August 20.

Fall TV starts with football and awards

September opens with college and pro football on the schedule. Deadline lists ESPN college football on September 3, Fox college football on September 5 and NFL coverage across CBS, Fox, NBC and Prime Video later in the month.

The MTV Video Music Awards are set for September 6 across CBS, MTV and Paramount+, according to Deadline. The Primetime Emmy Awards follow on NBC on September 14.

Scripted titles are spread through the month. Netflix’s The Gentlemen Season 2 is listed for September 3, Hulu’s new drama The Drop: A Snowfall Saga for September 8, Apple TV’s Slow Horses Season 6 for September 16 and Starz’s Outlander: Blood of My Blood for September 18.

Broadcast networks then roll out familiar names. NBC has The Voice Season 30 and new drama Line of Fire on September 21. Fox lists Doc Season 2 on September 22, Hell’s Kitchen Season 25 on September 24 and The Simpsons Season 38 on September 27.

October to December keeps the pipeline open

Deadline’s October slate includes NBC’s Chicago trio on October 7, the return of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU on October 8, Disney+ drama VisionQuest on October 14 and Peacock’s Crystal Lake on October 15.

Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3 is dated November 11, while The Chosen Season 6 arrives on Prime Video on November 15. December brings Golf Channel and USA Network’s Optum Golf Channel Games on December 16 before HBO Max’s Christmas Day Potter launch.

For fall dates still to come, Deadline lists returning network heavyweights including ABC’s Abbott Elementary, Grey’s Anatomy and 9-1-1; CBS’ NCIS, Survivor and The Amazing Race; and syndicated staples such as Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy! and Entertainment Tonight.
