The Chosen season 6 trailer has arrived, giving viewers their first footage from the drama’s penultimate season and placing Jesus’ final hours at the center of the story.
The teaser, released through The Chosen on YouTube, shows Jesus being escorted toward crucifixion. In the footage, a voice says, “This is the way,” followed by Jesus, in chains, whispering, “Your will.”
The series comes from 5&2 Studios and presents the life of Jesus through the people who knew him, Deadline reported. The show is set in first-century Israel under Roman rule and is planned as a seven-season historical drama.
Season 6 focuses on the final day of Jesus of Nazareth, according to the official logline cited by Deadline. The description says the season follows the events through people who love Jesus and people who condemn him, with Pharisees viewing the outcome as justice, Romans as peace and followers as murder.
When does The Chosen season 6 premiere?
The Chosen season 6 is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on November 15 with three episodes, Deadline reported. After that launch, one episode will be released each week through December 6.
The new season will be available on Prime Video in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, the UK and Latin America, according to the report.
Deadline also reported that the season 6 finale and the season 7 premiere are planned for theatrical release. The season 6 finale is set for release in spring 2027.
Who is in The Chosen season 6 cast?
Jonathan Roumie returns as Jesus. Deadline listed the ensemble as including Shahar Isaac as Peter, Paras Patel as Matthew, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Noah James as Andrew and George H. Xanthis as John.
The cast also includes Abe Bueno-Jallad as Big James, Vanessa Benavente as Mother Mary, Luke Dimyan as Judas, Richard Fancy as Caiaphas, Paul Ben-Victor as King Herod and Andrew James Allen as Pontius Pilate.
The official season description says Jesus stands firm in a plan that leads to the cross. That framing makes season 6 the show’s Passion-focused chapter before the series moves into its final season.
The Chosen has built its story around the relationships surrounding Jesus as much as the events themselves. With season 6, the drama narrows that lens to the people closest to his death, from devoted followers to religious and Roman authorities.
