Tiffany Young has put a date on her first solo studio album: Edge of Calm is due Aug. 20 through Pacific Music Group and its flagship label, Pacific Records, Variety reported.

The Los Angeles-born Girls’ Generation member is pairing the 11-track release with an eight-city Asia tour that begins Sept. 12 in Hong Kong. The run will take her through Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok before closing Dec. 27 in Seoul.

According to Variety, the album pulls from several genres and is being framed as a marker of Young’s 10 years as a solo artist. Young was involved beyond the recording booth, with the report saying she helped guide concept work, styling, visual direction and the storytelling for the music videos.

A quieter chapter

In a statement reported by Variety, Young said Edge of Calm came from turning away from outside expectations and focusing on who she felt herself to be when no one was watching. She described the project as less about reinvention and more about refinement, with the songs and visuals shaped by a desire for honesty.

Young also said she hopes listeners experience the album and live show together as one emotional journey, rather than as separate projects.

The album follows the pre-release single Summer’s Not Over, which arrived earlier this year to mark the 10th anniversary of Young’s solo debut. Variety reported that the track has passed 367,000 Spotify streams, while its official music video has topped 1.8 million views on YouTube.

The tour schedule

Young’s Asia tour starts in Hong Kong on Sept. 12, with tickets for that first date going on sale July 24, according to Variety.

  • Sept. 12: Hong Kong
  • Sept. 19: Jakarta
  • Sept. 26: Singapore
  • Oct. 9 and 10: Taipei
  • Oct. 17: Ho Chi Minh City
  • Oct. 25: Bangkok
  • Dec. 27: Seoul

The Seoul concert gives the tour a homecoming finish for a star who first broke through globally as part of Girls’ Generation.

Variety reported that Girls’ Generation’s catalog includes 16 No. 1 singles, more than 1.8 billion YouTube views and over 120 awards worldwide. Young’s solo career previously opened at No. 5 on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart, and she later received the best solo breakout award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Edge of Calm is Young’s second release under Pacific Music Group after her global 360 partnership with the company, Variety reported.

Pacific Music Group was founded in 2025 by Ne-Yo, Sonu Nigam, MC Jin and Jonathan Serbin. Based in Hong Kong, the company works on building international careers from Asia.
