The Tom Brady WWE chatter has at least one decorated NFL peer waving him off the ropes. Patrick Peterson told TMZ Sports he is against Brady making a wrestling move as talks continue around a possible WWE moment involving Logan Paul.

TMZ Sports spoke with Peterson last week at Billy “Swagga” Vance’s golf invitational, where the three-time first-team All-Pro cornerback was asked about Brady potentially appearing in WWE.

Peterson did not sound tempted by the idea for the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

“Tom don't wanna go to WWE,” Peterson told TMZ Sports. “He's a quarterback -- and I know Tom is a tough guy. I had the opportunity to be around Tom a bunch of times.”

Peterson then leaned on Brady’s college roots while making his point.

“He is a hard-nosed Michigan man. Those Michigan men, they definitely wear their heart on their sleeve, but the WWE, Tom? Just let it be. Just let it be, man.”

Will Tom Brady go to WWE?

TMZ Sports has reported that WWE and Brady are in ongoing negotiations about making something happen. The outlet also reported that Brady and Logan Paul have been in talks to settle their feud inside the WWE world.

No agreement or appearance date was reported. Peterson’s comments were a warning from one NFL name to another, not an announcement that the plan is off.

The setup would mark a sharp turn for Brady, whose public sports identity is still tied to football. Peterson framed the issue in plain terms: Brady is a quarterback, he knows Brady is tough, and he still thinks WWE is not the move.

Peterson’s résumé gives his opinion some locker-room weight. TMZ Sports identified him as a three-time first-team All-Pro cornerback and an NFL 2010s All-Decade Team selection.

The Brady-Paul wrinkle is the part that gives the story its juice. Paul is already part of WWE’s celebrity-athlete crossover lane, while Brady remains one of the biggest names football has ever produced. TMZ Sports reported that the potential WWE link would center on the two addressing their beef.

Peterson, though, was not buying the pitch from the outside. His message to Brady was short and blunt: stay away from the wrestling jump.

TMZ Sports also asked Peterson about another NFL issue, the grass-versus-turf debate for stadiums, and said he had a strong view on that topic as well.
