Jared Goff is going in the late 12th round of one-quarterback CBS PPR drafts, and CBS Sports fantasy analyst Heath Cummings sees that as the blinking neon value sign of 2026.
Cummings put Goff and Brock Purdy at the front of his updated fantasy football sleepers list, arguing that both quarterbacks are being drafted below what their recent production says they can deliver. His case is built on average draft position, past fantasy finishes and the freedom those picks give managers to load up elsewhere before taking a quarterback.
Goff is the bargain bin headliner
According to Cummings, Goff currently sits at QB16 in CBS PPR average draft position and is coming off a three-year run in which he finished QB10, QB8 and QB13 on a per-game basis. Cummings noted that Goff did not miss a game over that span, which made his full-season value even stronger.
The Lions quarterback also topped 30 touchdown passes and 4,500 passing yards in each of those three seasons, Cummings wrote. Detroit is set to bring back Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jameson Williams and Sam LaPorta, which Cummings cited as a reason to expect the passing production to hold.
Cummings added that turmoil around the Lions defense could push Goff toward more passing volume, and he pointed out that Detroit has only one true outdoor game over the final eight weeks of the fantasy season.
Purdy brings rushing on top of efficiency
Purdy is also on Cummings’ short list, though he wrote that the 49ers quarterback is slightly less of a value than Goff. Purdy’s current draft cost is in Round 11, and he is not being selected as a top-10 quarterback, according to Cummings.
The rushing piece is part of the pitch. Cummings credited Purdy with 470 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns across his past 24 games.
He also pointed to Purdy’s passing metrics since entering the league. Among 30 quarterbacks with at least 1,000 pass attempts since Purdy’s rookie season, Cummings wrote that Purdy ranks first in yards per attempt at 8.6 and success rate at 52.4%, second in touchdown rate at 6.2% and passer rating at 104.0, and fourth in fantasy points per game at 22.18.
If Mike Evans, George Kittle, Ricky Pearsall and Christian McCaffrey stay healthy, Cummings wrote that Purdy could finish as a top-four quarterback.
The rest of the sleeper sheet
Jordan Addison, WR, Vikings: Cummings said CBS consensus rankings are about a round and a half higher than Addison’s late Round 9 ADP. He cited Addison’s 78 catches, 1,123 yards and 10 touchdowns over a 17-game stretch from Week 4 of 2024 through Week 7 of 2025.
Xavier Worthy, WR, Chiefs: Cummings called Worthy a Round 10 redraft sleeper, noting that the Chiefs have said he was not the same after a Week 1 injury last season. Worthy is 23 and still tied to Patrick Mahomes, with Eric Bieniemy back as offensive coordinator.
Tre Tucker, WR, Raiders: Cummings prefers Tucker as Las Vegas’ WR1 and said he posted career highs across the board in 2025. Tucker’s 2025 line included 57 catches, 696 yards and five touchdowns.
Woody Marks, RB, Texans: Cummings expects Marks to back up David Montgomery, while possibly holding a passing-game role. He wrote that Marks could become an RB2 if Montgomery misses time.
Antonio Williams, WR, Commanders: Cummings wrote that Brandon Aiyuk looks less likely to be in Washington in 2026, opening a WR2 competition. He expects Williams to win it and said the rookie could see more than 100 targets.
Brian Robinson Jr., RB, Falcons: Cummings sees Robinson as a clear handcuff behind Bijan Robinson and wrote that he should not last until Round 15.
Demond Claiborne, RB, Vikings: Cummings labeled Claiborne a late dart throw whose fantasy value likely depends on Aaron Jones missing time.
Greg Dulcich, TE, Dolphins: Cummings wrote that Dulcich could be one of Miami’s top two targets after ranking second among tight ends in yards per route run in 2025.
