CBS has the next listed 48 Hours broadcast centered on the disappearance of Maya Millete, a young mother whose case has drawn investigators to an unusual allegation involving spellcasters.
The network lists the update, Searching for Maya Millete, for Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10/9c. CBS says the broadcast followed WNBA coverage of the New York Liberty at the Indiana Fever.
According to CBS, investigators say Millete’s husband contacted spellcasters to place a hex on his wife so she would not leave him. 48 Hours contributor Jonathan Vigliotti reports the episode.

The July 11 entry was a two-part 48 Hours titled My Mother's Murder Trials. CBS says Jim Axelrod reported on a daughter who suspected her mother in a double murder, with later courtroom proceedings bringing answers.
CBS says 48 Hours did not air July 4 because of holiday programming. The June 27 encore was The Day My Mother Never Came Home, reported by Vladimir Duthiers, about a son reckoning with his parents’ past and the question of whether a father used a 6-year-old child as an alibi in a murder case.
