Samsung’s 77-inch S85F OLED 4K TV has slipped to $1,297.99 at Amazon as of July 16, a new record low according to Camelcamelcamel price tracking cited by Mashable.

The same 2025 model is listed at $1,299.99 through Best Buy and Samsung, according to Mashable. Against its current list price of $2,197.99, the Amazon deal works out to $900 off, or a 41% discount.

The bigger drop is against where the TV started. Mashable reports that Samsung’s entry-level OLED model originally carried a $2,999.99 price tag, meaning the current Amazon price is about $1,700 lower than its debut price.

Why the price has fallen

The S85F is no longer the newest OLED in Samsung’s lineup. Mashable notes that 2026 models have arrived on shelves, while the 2025 S85F’s list price has already been reduced to $2,197.99 before this latest sale pricing.

OLED sets are generally among the pricier TV options, with Mashable describing the screen technology as offering advanced lighting compared with other TV types. The S85F sits at the entry point of Samsung’s OLED range, but the 77-inch size still puts it firmly in big-screen territory.

What the S85F includes

Samsung’s 2025 OLED set comes with several AI-branded features, according to Mashable, including Click to Search, Live Translate, Adaptive Sound Pro, and Real Depth Enhancer. The TV also delivers content recommendations through its smart TV system.

The model runs Samsung’s Tizen 9.0 platform. Mashable says the software is designed for smooth, fast movement through apps and menus.

For picture quality, the S85F is described by Mashable as offering vivid color, strong contrast, and the black-level benefits associated with OLED panels. The 77-inch screen is the headline draw for viewers who want a large display for movies, sports, and streaming.

Gaming specs are modest

The gaming package is more basic than Samsung’s higher-end options, according to Mashable. The S85F includes a 120Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1, and FreeSync Premium.

Mashable’s take is that those specs should suit casual gaming, while players who want a faster refresh rate may prefer a higher-tier model.

The deal is live at Amazon, Best Buy, and Samsung as of July 16, with Amazon showing the lowest listed price at $1,297.99 and the other two retailers close behind at $1,299.99.
