Aaron Rodgers posts family reunion photos after years-long rift
The Steelers quarterback shared Instagram pictures with his parents and brother Luke, while brother Jordan was not shown.

Aaron Rodgers put a family update right on the grid Monday, sharing Instagram photos that showed him spending time with his mother, Darla, his father, Ed, and his brother Luke after years of public distance from parts of his family.
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback captioned the post, “Another bonding week #fam.” The carousel did not appear to include his other brother, Jordan Rodgers, and Aaron did not address Jordan’s absence in the caption.
The post marked a notable public moment for Rodgers, whose family tensions have followed him in headlines for years. The split first became widely known in 2016, when Jordan appeared as a contestant on “The Bachelorette” and the family rift became part of the public conversation.
Rodgers later spoke about the family divide in the 2024 Netflix docuseries “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma.” In the series, he described growing up in what he called “a very white, dogmatic church” and said that environment did not work for him.
In the Netflix series, Rodgers said life under his family’s roof was framed in stark terms, with a rigid structure around what was right and wrong. He said his family’s view was that their way led to heaven and the other path led to hell.
Rodgers said in the docuseries that he began separating himself from that mindset while he was in high school. He described that shift as a gradual “uncoupling” from the world he had grown up in.

Rodgers addressed the family situation again in March during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” He discussed his relatives making comments about him in the media and said he had chosen not to engage.
On the show, Rodgers said he reached a point where he felt “enough is enough.” He did not use the appearance to announce a reconciliation with specific family members.
Monday’s Instagram post is the clearest public sign yet that Rodgers has spent time reconnecting with at least part of his family. The photos showed Darla, Ed and Luke with him, while Jordan’s relationship with Aaron remains unclear based on what Rodgers shared publicly.
Rodgers has not added further explanation about the gathering beyond his brief caption. The post, however, puts a softer family image in front of fans after years in which the Rodgers family story was more often told through estrangement, interviews and reality TV fallout.
