Amber Rose sues Beverly Hills club over falling holiday ornament

Amber Rose says a holiday decoration at a Beverly Hills members-only dining club came loose and crashed onto her head while she was seated on New Year’s Eve 2024.

The model has filed a negligence lawsuit against Gravitas, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. Rose claims the object was one of several large, solid decorative spheres hanging above the area where she was sitting.

According to the lawsuit, the ornament allegedly detached from its overhead placement and struck Rose on the head. She claims the blow caused her to lose consciousness for a short time.

Rose says the incident happened inside Gravitas in Beverly Hills during a New Year’s Eve outing. The lawsuit does not specify in TMZ’s report who installed the decorations or how long the ornament had been hanging before it allegedly fell.

Rose claims symptoms continued after the incident

In the filing, Rose says she experienced a string of symptoms after the alleged impact, including headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, confusion and neck pain.

She claims she went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to be evaluated after the incident. According to TMZ’s account of the lawsuit, doctors found swelling on her head, neck soreness and other injuries.

Rose also claims in the suit that the effects did not end that night. She says her physical, mental and emotional symptoms have continued and have affected her day-to-day life.

The lawsuit seeks damages for negligence. The amount Rose is asking for has not been specified, according to TMZ.
