The Avatar: Seven Havens release date is now set: Paramount+ will launch the next animated chapter in the Avatar franchise on Oct. 9, 2026, Variety reported.
Paramount has also released the show’s first teaser, giving fans their first look at a darker new era for the world of bending. The streamer is taking a different approach this time, with all 26 episodes arriving on the same day.
When is Avatar: Seven Havens coming out?
Avatar: Seven Havens premieres Oct. 9 on Paramount+. Variety reported that the season will be split into two “books,” matching the format used by earlier Avatar shows, but both books will be available at once as a binge release.
That date carries some franchise history. Variety noted that Oct. 9 had originally been scheduled for the movie Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, before that film’s streaming debut was moved up to July 25 after it leaked online earlier this year.
What is Avatar: Seven Havens about?
According to the official logline cited by Variety, the series follows a young Earthbender who learns she is the Avatar after Korra. The story is set after a catastrophic event has fractured the world, and the Avatar is feared as a threat to humanity rather than celebrated as its protector.
The logline says she is pursued by human and spirit enemies while traveling with her long-lost twin. Together, they must learn the truth about where they came from and try to protect the Seven Havens before the last remaining centers of civilization fall.
In the Avatar universe, the Avatar is the one person able to master all four elements and act as a bridge between the human and spirit worlds. Seven Havens shifts that familiar role into a bleaker setting, where the title itself has become dangerous.
Who is in the Avatar: Seven Havens cast?
Variety reported the voice cast includes Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, Dianne Doan as Zi, and Dee Bradley Baker as Geet and Ruhi.
The series comes from Avatar creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who are executive producing through Avatar Studios. Ethan Spaulding is also an executive producer, with Sehaj Sethi serving as co-executive producer. Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios produce the show.
The new series lands in a busy stretch for the franchise. Variety reported that Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is set for a special screening at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24 before its July 25 streaming release. The film is also getting a one-week awards qualifying theatrical run in New York and Los Angeles instead of the full theatrical rollout it was previously expected to receive.
Avatar: The Last Airbender first aired on Nickelodeon in 2005 and ran for three seasons. Its sequel, The Legend of Korra, premiered in 2012 and ran for four seasons.
