Billkin Putthipong lines up GDH snooker role
Thai studio GDH says Billkin Putthipong Assaratanakul will play a professional snooker player in a feature now set for late 2027.

Billkin Putthipong Assaratanakul is heading for the snooker table in a new GDH feature, with the Thai studio announcing him as the lead of The Untitled Snooker Project.
GDH said the actor and recording artist will play a professional snooker player in the film, which is planned for a theatrical release in late 2027. The project is still in development, and the studio said further casting and story details will be revealed later.
A new GDH play for the big screen
The film will be directed by Wattanapong “Jack” Wongwan, whose previous work includes the Netflix series The Believers, according to GDH.
The producing team brings together Vanridee Pongsittisak and Baz Poonpiriya. Vanridee’s credits include Bad Genius, How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies and Gohan. Baz produced Gohan and Not Friends.
That lineup gives GDH a familiar mix of names from recent Thai hits. Billkin previously starred in How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, the box office success that was shortlisted for Best International Feature at the 97th Academy Awards and earned around $74 million worldwide, according to Deadline.
Billkin back with a high-profile team
Thodsapon Thiptinnakorn, GDH’s head of content, said the studio was pleased with the group assembled for the project.
“We’re excited to bring together an exceptional creative team for this project,” Thodsapon said. “With Billkin leading the cast and Jack’s distinctive vision as director, we believe this film will deliver a compelling cinematic experience that will resonate with audiences both in Thailand and internationally.”
GDH has not yet disclosed the plot beyond Billkin’s role as a professional snooker player. The film also does not yet have a final title.
The announcement keeps Billkin in business with a studio and creative circle tied to one of Thailand’s most widely traveled recent films. How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies expanded beyond its home market, reached global audiences and landed on the Academy Awards shortlist before the final nominations were announced.
The Untitled Snooker Project is now one of GDH’s longer-range theatrical bets, with its release window sitting in late 2027. For now, the biggest confirmed detail is the hook: Billkin, a cue, and a sports-world role from the team behind several of Thailand’s recent screen exports.
