Prime Video says Blade Runner 2099 will stream Nov. 25 in 240 countries after debuting its first trailer at Comic-Con.

The Blade Runner 2099 premiere date is set: Prime Video announced at Comic-Con that the sequel series will arrive on Nov. 25 and stream in 240 countries and territories.
The first trailer for the series was unveiled in Hall H, putting the next chapter of the sci-fi franchise back under the neon glow. The show comes from Prime Video and Alcon Entertainment, which Deadline identifies as the owner of the Blade Runner intellectual property.
When does Blade Runner 2099 premiere?
Blade Runner 2099 premieres on Prime Video on Nov. 25. The service announced the date alongside the first trailer during its Comic-Con presentation.
The series is set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, the 2017 film that continued the world first brought to the screen by Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. Scott is an executive producer on the new limited series.
Prime Video’s story details place the action in a Los Angeles that has been reborn, though the rebirth is described as something that did not come from humanity. The central character is Cora, played by Hunter Schaefer, a human fugitive who takes on one last identity in an effort to stop running: Blade Runner.
Cora’s path puts her with Olwen, played by Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh. Olwen is a Replicant who is only days from dying, according to the show details released with the trailer.
For viewers who do not keep a Voight-Kampff test handy, Replicants in the Blade Runner universe are androids, also described in the franchise as synthetic humans. Blade Runners are special police officers assigned to track down and kill them.
The trailer leans into the franchise’s familiar mix of future dread, flying cars and human-versus-Replicant paranoia. In footage released by Prime Video, Cora says, “Replicants they keep taking it all away,” before asking, “How much longer until we have nothing? Until we are nothing?”
The series’ larger chase centers on Cora hunting a runaway who is hiding a truth that could bring down the city’s fragile order, according to the plot description.
Dimitri Abold of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and Lewis Gribben of Somewhere Boy are series regulars. The recurring guest cast includes Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke and Maurizio Lombardi.
Yeoh and Schaefer appeared on the Hall H panel with showrunner and executive producer Silka Luisa, as well as Alcon Entertainment co-founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, who are also executive producers.
The executive producer roster also includes Alcon’s president of television Ben Roberts, David W. Zucker and Clayton Krueger of Scott Free Productions, Tom Spezialy, Richard Sharkey, Michael Green, Cynthia Yorkin, Frank Giustra and Isa Dick Hackett. Jonathan van Tulleken, whose credits include Shogun, executive produces and directed the first two episodes. Steven Johnson is co-executive producer.
