Bronny James says he is not holding the secret to LeBron James’ next NBA stop.
The Los Angeles Lakers guard was asked about his father’s free agency in a recent video posted by streamer Biggy22x, after the streamer first asked the 21-year-old to offer a message of motivation to young fans.
The motivational moment quickly turned into LeBron watch. Biggy22x asked Bronny directly whether his father was headed to the Golden State Warriors, one of the teams reportedly connected to the four-time NBA champion’s next move.
Bronny laughed and answered, “Man, I don’t know where he’s going. That would be crazy if he did.”
The response keeps the mystery around LeBron’s free agency alive, at least publicly. TMZ Sports reported that Golden State is among the teams in the conversation, with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat also described as favorites.
Bronny’s answer lands with extra interest because he is not just LeBron’s oldest son. He was also his teammate with the Lakers, making him one of the few people fans might expect to have some clue about the family’s thinking.
LeBron has previously said his decision is not only a basketball matter. In a video shared on X by the account Connectcryptt, LeBron said his nearly 12-year-old daughter has had a major role in how he is thinking about the choice.
According to the post, LeBron discussed speaking with his daughter over the Fourth of July while weighing what his next team decision could mean for the family. The full embedded clip was presented as LeBron explaining how much her view mattered in the process.
Rich Paul, LeBron’s longtime agent, has also said he does not know where LeBron will end up, according to TMZ Sports. That leaves the public with a run of answers from people close to LeBron that all point the same way: no firm reveal yet.
For now, Bronny is giving no sign that he has inside information, or at least none that he is willing to share on camera. His answer did make one thing clear: the idea of LeBron landing with the Warriors got a laugh, and even Bronny called that possibility “crazy.”
LeBron has not announced his next team. TMZ Sports reported that he will make the decision on his own timetable.
