Carole Radziwill’s return to “The Real Housewives of New York” is already tangled in one of the darkest names in recent celebrity history.
Bravo released the Season 16 trailer Tuesday, and the preview shows Radziwill bristling after castmate Sai De Silva asks whether she ever visited Little Saint James, Jeffrey Epstein’s private Caribbean island.
The exchange comes after another moment in the trailer where a person on the street confronts Radziwill and brings up her name appearing in the Epstein Files, according to the footage released by Bravo.
Radziwill has previously acknowledged that she had a friendship over the years with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, TMZ reported. She has denied knowing about Epstein’s wrongdoing at the time.
In the trailer, De Silva asks Radziwill directly if she ever went to Little Saint James. Radziwill says she did not, then pushes back at the implication.
“You think I’m part of an international sex trafficking ring?” Radziwill says in the Bravo preview.
The question that sparked the season’s feud
TMZ reported that the island question was not a one-off bit of trailer drama. According to the outlet, sources said the moment created tension between Radziwill and De Silva during filming, and the conflict continued through the season.
De Silva also appeared to allude to the situation in a cryptic Instagram post after filming wrapped, TMZ reported at the time. The post was later deleted, according to the outlet.
The trailer does not show Radziwill being accused of wrongdoing. It shows her denying she visited Epstein’s island and objecting to De Silva’s line of questioning.
Epstein’s private island has long been linked in public reporting and legal scrutiny to allegations surrounding his sex trafficking operation. The trailer frames the issue as a flashpoint among the New York cast, with Radziwill forced to address her past association with Epstein and Maxwell on camera.
Bravo is leaning into Radziwill’s return
Radziwill is not listed as a full-time Housewife this season. She appears as a “friend of” the cast, but TMZ reported that sources say she appears in every episode.
Those sources also told the outlet producers are happy with Radziwill’s role in the season. According to TMZ, Radziwill was offered full-time cast member status but declined.
The preview positions Radziwill’s Epstein-related confrontation as one of the season’s central conflicts, alongside her friction with De Silva.
“The Real Housewives of New York” Season 16 premieres Tuesday, September 8, according to Bravo.
