Chloe Fineman books Netflix’s Myron Bolitar after SNL run
Variety reported that Fineman, Jabari Banks, Jamie McShane and Ben McKenzie have joined Netflix’s Harlan Coben-inspired sports-world drama.

Chloe Fineman has lined up a new TV job at Netflix, with Variety reporting that the actor has joined the streamer’s developing “Myron Bolitar” series as a regular.
Fineman is part of a fresh casting wave for the drama, which is based on Harlan Coben’s Myron Bolitar novels. Variety reported that Jabari Banks and Jamie McShane have also been added as series regulars, while Ben McKenzie is set for a recurring guest role.
The project already had Colin Woodell, KJ Apa and Diane Guerrero in leading roles, according to Variety. Netflix announced the series order in May during its upfront presentation to advertisers.
The show follows Myron Bolitar, played by Woodell, after an injury cuts short his dream of playing in the NBA. Per the show’s description cited by Variety, he remakes himself as a sports agent, using his intelligence, charm and a hard-edged partner while working in a high-pressure sports business where protecting clients can put him in danger.
Who the new cast will play
Banks, known for “Bel-Air,” will play Dwayne Richmond, Variety reported. The character is described as a charismatic tennis prodigy expected by experts to become one of the world’s top players. He is also the star client at MB Sports, with signature shoes and trademarked sunglasses as part of his image.
Fineman will play Parker Quinn, a sports reporter for a major sports publication. Variety described the character as someone who built a strong reputation through hard work and a passion for the game.
McShane, whose credits include “Task” and “Wednesday,” will play Detective Ray Dimonte, described by Variety as a veteran NYPD homicide detective.
McKenzie, whose credits cited by Variety include “Everyone is Lying to You for Money” and “Gotham,” will appear as Gavin Pierce. The character is one of the biggest agents in sports and once represented Myron during his brief professional career. After Myron’s injury, Gavin dropped him, and the two have not repaired the split, according to Variety’s character description.
The team behind the series
David E. Kelley and Kyle Long are writers, showrunners and executive producers on “Myron Bolitar,” Variety reported. Kelley is executive producing through David E. Kelley Productions.
Matthew Tinker of David E. Kelley Productions is also an executive producer, alongside Coben through Final Twist Productions and Rick Muirragui, according to Variety. Greg Yaitaines will executive produce and direct multiple episodes.
Coben’s Myron Bolitar book series has 12 published entries, Variety reported. The Netflix adaptation brings the character into a sports-agent thriller built around ambition, danger and unfinished business.
