Commonwealth Games 2026 streams: where U.S. viewers can watch

The 2026 Commonwealth Games begin July 23 in Glasgow, Scotland, bringing thousands of athletes from more than 70 Commonwealth nations into 10 sports over 11 days, according to Variety.
The Games, which date to 1930 and are held every four years, feature countries that are current or former members of the British Commonwealth. Variety reports that Canada, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa and Jamaica are among the teams competing, while the United States will not have a delegation.
How to watch from the U.S.
For U.S. viewers, Variety reports that beIN SPORTS will carry the Commonwealth Games through streaming services including Fubo and Sling.
Fubo offers beIN SPORTS as a standalone option for $5.99 per month, according to Variety. The channel is also included in Fubo’s Core package, listed by Variety at $63.99 per month, down from its regular $88.99 monthly price, with about 200 live TV channels.
Variety says Fubo also offers a five-day free trial, which can be used to stream the Games without paying during that trial window. The report adds that Fubo plans include free DVR for recording events to watch later.
Sling viewers can get beIN SPORTS by subscribing to Sling Orange, which Variety lists from $45.99 per month, then adding the Sports Extra package for another $11 per month. Variety reports that the combination costs $56.99 per month and includes more than 40 live TV channels, 50 hours of cloud DVR and an on-demand library.
Free overseas streams via VPN
Variety reports that viewers in North America can watch coverage for free through CBC, Canada’s public broadcaster, by using a virtual private network such as ExpressVPN or NordVPN and setting the location to Canada.
The same approach can be used to access other international coverage, according to Variety, by setting a VPN location to Australia for 7Plus or the United Kingdom for Channel 5. Those outlets are airing live events and nightly highlights, Variety reports.
Sports and athletes to watch
This edition is smaller than recent Games. Variety reports that the program has been cut to 10 sports, the fewest since 1994, after previous editions had more than 30 summer sports. Organizers say rising costs, venue shortages and declining viewership led to the removal of events including field hockey, diving, rugby sevens and cricket.
The remaining sports include athletics, swimming, artistic gymnastics, boxing and cycling, according to Variety. Expected competitors include Australian Olympic swimming champion Kaylee McKeown, English Olympic swimming champion Adam Peaty and Canada’s gold medal-winning men’s 4x100-meter relay team.
Variety also lists Scottish middle-distance runner Josh Kerr, who recently broke a 27-year world record in the mile, and Jamaican sprinter Shericka Jackson, a two-time world champion with the second-fastest recorded time in the women’s 200 meters, among the names to watch.
In men’s gymnastics, reigning Olympic pommel horse champion Rhys McClenaghan of Northern Ireland is set to compete, according to Variety. He will face Cyprus’ Marios Georgiou, described in the report as a former European all-around champion and three-time Olympian.
The Games open with a ceremony featuring British singer-songwriter Tom Walker, Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall and other local artists, Variety reports. The previous Commonwealth Games were held in Birmingham in 2022, where Duran Duran performed at the opening ceremony.
