Giancarlo Esposito has signed with United Talent Agency for representation as a packed slate of film and TV roles rolls out.

Giancarlo Esposito has signed with UTA for representation in all areas, Variety reported, marking a new agency move for the actor, director and producer after previously being represented by CAA.
The deal lands as Esposito, best known to many viewers as Gus Fring from AMC’s “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul,” has a crowded run of projects on the way across film, television and animation.
According to Variety, Esposito will next appear in Noah Segan’s “The Only Living Pickpocket in New York,” alongside John Turturro, Steve Buscemi and Tatiana Maslany. The film premiered at Sundance and is set to open in theaters through Sony Pictures Classics on Oct. 16.

Esposito’s upcoming slate includes Orion Pictures’ “Your Mother, Your Mother, Your Mother,” opposite Mahershala Ali, and the second season of Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series “The Gentlemen,” where Variety reported he will return as Uncle Stan.
He is also part of Universal Pictures’ animated version of Dr. Seuss’ “The Cat in the Hat.” Other listed projects include “Kill Me,” Paramount Pictures’ historical crime thriller “By Any Means,” Lionsgate’s “Karoshi” with Cynthia Erivo and Bill Camp, and Netflix’s adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s novel “All the Sinners Bleed.”
UTA, short for United Talent Agency, represents clients across entertainment and media. In Esposito’s case, Variety reported the agency will represent him in all areas, a broad arrangement that can cover work across acting, directing, producing and related business opportunities.
Esposito’s Gus Fring legacy still looms large
Esposito is a six-time Emmy nominee, with his best-known role remaining the calm, controlled drug kingpin Gus Fring in “Breaking Bad” and its prequel series “Better Call Saul.” Variety also noted that he has won two Critics Choice awards.
His film résumé stretches across decades. Variety listed credits including Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing” and “Malcolm X,” Bryan Singer’s “The Usual Suspects,” Forest Whitaker’s “Waiting to Exhale,” Sian Heder’s “CODA,” Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” and Ti West’s “MaXXXine.”
Recent screen appearances have kept him busy as well. Variety reported that Esposito appeared in “Captain America: Brave New World,” Netflix’s Anthony and Joe Russo film “The Electric State,” Shondaland’s “The Residence,” “Poker Face” and “The Boys,” which brought him an Emmy nomination for guest performance.
His work extends behind the camera
Esposito executive produced and starred in AMC’s “Parish.” He also directed an episode of “Better Call Saul,” a job that Variety reported earned him an NAACP Image Award for outstanding directing in a drama series.
His other honors include the Hollywood Creative Alliance’s TV Icon Award and a best supporting actor award for “Better Call Saul,” along with a Saturn Award nomination for “Breaking Bad,” according to Variety.
Beyond UTA, Esposito continues to be represented by MGMT Entertainment, Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner Auerbach Hynick Jaime LeVine Sample & Klein, and The Initiative Group, Variety reported.
