Joel Church-Cooper signs with TFC Management after Going Dutch run
Joel Church-Cooper, creator and showrunner of Fox’s Going Dutch, has signed with TFC Management, Deadline reported.

Joel Church-Cooper has signed with TFC Management after steering Fox’s half-hour military comedy Going Dutch for two seasons, Deadline reported.
Deadline said Church-Cooper created and served as showrunner on the Denis Leary-led series. The move adds another comedy writer-producer to TFC’s roster while Church-Cooper keeps his existing representation with UTA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, according to the report.
Who is Joel Church-Cooper?
Church-Cooper is a television comedy creator, writer and showrunner whose best-known credit before Going Dutch is IFC’s baseball comedy Brockmire, Deadline reported. He co-created the series and ran it as showrunner, with Hank Azaria starring.
All four seasons of Brockmire are currently available on AMC+, according to Deadline.
His recent television work also includes Season 2 of the Lionsgate Television comedy Minx, where Deadline said he was a co-executive producer. That series starred Ophelia Lovibond and Jake Johnson.
Deadline’s rundown of his credits also includes Hulu’s Future Man, produced by Point Grey, where he was a co-executive producer and writer. He previously worked on Undateable from Bill Lawrence’s Doozer and spent two seasons on the Warner Horizon and TBS comedy Ground Floor, also from Doozer.
Church-Cooper’s earlier TV writing credits listed by Deadline include NBC’s Up All Night, from Broadway Video and Universal TV, and Men at Work, made for TBS by Fanfare and Sony TV.
What has Joel Church-Cooper written for film?
On the feature side, Deadline reported that Church-Cooper recently wrote a script for Warner Bros., Megamix and 42, with Nicholas Hoult attached to produce and star and Jonathan Levine attached to direct.
Deadline also said Church-Cooper wrote a script for Tolmach and Sony. Beyond scripted television and film, his credits include writing for the ESPY Awards, Funny or Die, ABC, Fox Sports and Comedy Central, according to the report.
He has sold pilots to HBO, Amazon, Apple and NBC, Deadline reported.
What is TFC Management?
TFC Management is a representation company founded in 2020 by David Stone and Ben Jacobson, according to Deadline. Its client list includes on-camera talent, writers, filmmakers, producers and novelists.
Deadline said the company represents Dakota Fanning, Elle Fanning, Shira Haas, Lashana Lynch, JD Pardo, Dan Ings and Josh Hutcherson. Its creator and producer roster includes Warren Littlefield, Brian Yorkey, Megan Park, Adam Reed, Akiva Goldsman, Courtney Lilly, Josh and Jonas Pate and Rebecca Serle, according to the report.
The company also has a sister banner, TFC Productions. Deadline reported that TFC Productions most recently produced Apple’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles, created by David E. Kelley and starring Elle Fanning.
That Apple series received eight Emmy nominations earlier this month, including Outstanding Comedy Series, according to Deadline.
