Kelsey Cook’s first Netflix special sets an August date
Deadline reports that Kelsey Cook will debut Happy Hour on Netflix on August 18 after recent specials on Hulu, YouTube and elsewhere.

Kelsey Cook is bringing her next hour to Netflix, with Happy Hour set to premiere Tuesday, August 18, according to Deadline.
The special marks Cook’s first stand-up release for Netflix. Deadline reports that the set was taped at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota, with Eric Abrams directing.
In Happy Hour, Cook covers “hangxiety,” a nightmare involving an airplane bathroom and the experience of dating a literal Chad, according to Deadline. Abrams executive produced the special with Cook and Lisa Mierke, while Matt Schuler served as producer.
A busy run for Cook
The Netflix special follows Cook’s 2025 release Mark Your Territory and her 2023 special The Hustler. Deadline reports that Mark Your Territory, which was released on Hulu and YouTube, ranked among the Top 15 most streamed specials for 2025.
During its time on Hulu, Mark Your Territory also reached No. 1 on the platform’s comedy special chart for a female comedian, according to Deadline. The same report says the special has drawn more than 1.6 million streams on YouTube, while The Hustler has passed 4.4 million views.
Cook is currently on her Reasonable Bedtime Tour, headlining in more than 40 cities across the country, Deadline reports. She also co-hosts the Pretend Problems Podcast with her fiancé, comedian Chad Daniels.
Foosball, late night and more
Cook’s comedy story comes with an unusually sporty family backstory. Deadline notes that she is the daughter of an International Yo-Yo Champion and a professional foosball player, a combination Cook has joked left her with little chance of choosing a conventional career.
She is also behind the foosball web series Wrists of Fury, where, according to Deadline, she plays comedians who do not know she is a World Champion foosball player.
Her television credits include multiple appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, along with Good Morning America, CBS’ After Midnight and The Talk, Comedy Central’s This is Not Happening and Epix’s Unprotected Sets, Deadline reports.
Cook is represented by Mosaic, CAA and Yorn, Levine, Barnes, according to Deadline.
