Kim Kardashian’s bar ad for her new energy drink turns one of her public setbacks into the sales pitch: she did not pass the bar, and she is saying so herself.
The reality star and entrepreneur introduced her energy drink brand, Update, on Instagram Thursday morning, according to TMZ. The launch video puts Kardashian at a press conference, fielding questions about how she gets through so much in a day.
Her answer in the ad is blunt branding: “My energy is just different,” she says before drinking from a can of Update.
The spot then runs through a few pointed questions, including one about whether her breasts are real, before shifting into a museum-style scene. Kardashian is shown inside a glass case, working through a large stack of tasks as visitors look on.
Did Kim Kardashian pass the bar?
No. TMZ reported that Kardashian failed to pass the bar exam last November as part of her effort to become a lawyer.
The ad makes that history the punchline. Gloria Allred, the well-known women’s rights attorney, appears in the museum scene and asks Kardashian whether she passed the bar. Kardashian replies, “I didn’t pass the bar. I raised it.”
Allred’s cameo gives the joke an extra legal-world wink. Kardashian has made her law ambitions a recurring part of her public life, and the ad uses that familiar storyline to sell the idea that Update fuels a packed schedule.
TMZ reported in May, citing sources, that Kardashian plans to take another shot at the bar exam, though the timing has not been made public. The latest ad does not give a date for any future attempt.
What is Kim Kardashian’s Update drink?
Update is the energy drink brand Kardashian unveiled on Instagram. The ad presents it as the reason she can power through a long list of work, public appearances and questions about her life.
The launch clip leans hard into Kardashian’s self-awareness. Rather than sidestepping the bar exam failure, she puts it in the middle of the campaign and lets Allred tee up the line.
The result is a celebrity product rollout built around a real headline from Kardashian’s own recent past. The can gets the close-up, the legal joke gets the tag, and Kardashian gets to frame the exam miss as part of her bigger productivity pitch.
