Lucas Museum ticket rush leaves fans facing five-hour waits

The first rush for tickets to the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art turned into an online endurance test, with TMZ reporting that one would-be visitor sat at No. 6,427 in the digital line.

According to TMZ, that spot came with an estimated wait of five hours. The outlet said the queue page also warned users they had to keep the browser window open to preserve their place, meaning anyone who clicked away risked losing the slot.

Reservations are open through February

The museum’s first reservation window covers visits from Sept. 22 through Feb. 28, 2027, TMZ reported. The sale marks the first chance for the public to lock in admission to the long-awaited museum tied to George Lucas.

TMZ said the ticketing queue was hosted through lucasmuseum.org, where visitors were placed into line as demand built. The report did not say how many total tickets were available in the first batch.

For those who make it through checkout, the museum offers a 300,000-square-foot space with exhibitions tied to television, film and art, according to TMZ. The outlet also reported that the museum will feature plenty of material connected to “Star Wars.”

Admission is priced at $25 for adults, TMZ reported. Seniors age 65 and older are listed at $21.
