A Luke Littler darts event is coming to Netflix, and the prize pot has a very darts-specific number attached: £501,000, or about $667,000.
Netflix UK & Ireland said applicants can now put themselves forward for a chance to face Littler live on Oct. 30. Deadline reported that the one-off event will be produced by Workerbee, the Banijay-backed company.
Littler, 19, announced the challenge in a video posted Monday morning. In the clip, he looks through social media messages from people who think they could beat him, then asks: “Reckon you could beat me in a game of darts?”

According to Netflix UK & Ireland, members of the public can apply now for a chance to take on Littler during the live Netflix event on Oct. 30. Deadline reported that a tournament for hopeful challengers will be held in London and Manchester in September.
The £501,000 jackpot nods to the standard darts format in which players start on 501 and work down to exactly zero. It is the kind of tidy gimmick streaming live events love: simple, obvious, and ready-made for the scoreboard.
Littler arrives at the Netflix event as the sport’s biggest breakout name. Deadline described him as one of darts’ most prominent figures, reporting that he has won the past two World Darts Championships and the most recent Premier League.
His rise has already pushed him beyond the usual darts crowd. Deadline noted that multiple documentaries have been made about Littler, and said he is now the sport’s most recognizable figure by a wide margin.
The event also lands as Netflix keeps building out live programming in the UK. Deadline reported that the show comes from Netflix UK’s live team, led by Daisy Lilley, which was formed earlier in 2026 after live projects including Skyscraper Live and the boxing match between Tyson Fury and Arslanbek Makhmudov.
The format follows a burst of online attention around an earlier Littler stunt idea. Deadline reported that an Instagram user’s proposal went viral: Littler and British running champion Mo Farah would run a half marathon while completing a leg of darts at the end of each mile.
After that idea spread on social media, Littler challenged Farah to the race, according to Deadline. The Netflix event is a different contest, but it keeps the same crowd-pleasing premise: an elite athlete, a public challenge, and enough prize money to make casual throwers start eyeing the dartboard at the pub.
